My Guilty Pleasure and Escape…True Beauty!!!!

True Beauty

So my favorite guilty pleasure was on again and I was somewhat worried about my man Joel.   I am not sure it he will win, but I certainly don’t want to see him get kicked off without a fighting chance.  Really this week the judges were so off.  Picking Billy as the winner of the challenge was just not what I thought would happen.  I had to agree with Ashton’s mom and believe that Joel did the best job.  And seriously did he really fail the stupid test?  He was just telling it like it is, which is why I really like him.  He isn’t afraid to tell it like it is.  Laura certainly needed to go, and I was surprised that she lasted this long.  She is so superficial and conceited that I have to wonder just what is inside her???  Not much from what I saw.

Of course I know that it is TV and they exaggerate everything for more dramatic effect, but she really didn’t shine in my book.  Just for stringing Billy along was enough for me to kick her off.  When she admitted that she would throw him under the bus, it was a no brainier that she needed to go.   And the planted designer was an idiot.  Touching Joel’s butt and Laura’s was out of line even for this show.  The fact that Joel didn’t kick his arse was enough for me to declare him the winner.  Hell, I would have slapped him for doing that to me.  IT was inappropriate and the producers shouldn’t have allowed it.

I still think the show needs some more meat and less corniness, especially with the judges’ expressions about things that just aren’t that big of a deal.  And I am kind of over the question to the departing beauty:  “Do you think you are a true beauty?  Well take a look.”   Damn that adds to the corny factor.  This show has the capability to be totally brilliant, but it really needs some more substance.  I would like to see it picked up again but improved.  And seriously the judges need some work.  Their facial expressions drive me crazy.

Anyway, my man Joel is safe for another week, so I am happy for the moment.  And the Bachelor previews from last week lied with their bachelorette making a mistake scene.  It appears that the scene is for next week which is pure crap in advertising if you ask me.  I can’t believe they hooked me into watching this week.  It is so lame having the dates and hoping the girls open up so he knows that they care, only to F over one of them.  What a crock of crap that is.  And I don’t know that happens on the overnight dates, but holy crap that isn’t right.  Anyway, that was my entertainment for the week, now I continue my quest for employment.  Hope your week is fabulous!!

True Beauty…The saga continues…

So my guilty pleasure has moved to Tuesdays.  And true to course another “beauty” has been kicked off.  There are two women and two men left to compete for the money and notoriety.  Last night another of the guys, Ray, got kicked out.  I didn’t expect him to get the ax, as I thought that Laura deserved it more since her whole attitude was off during that show.  I think they both eventually need to go, but I think I would have picked her.  I had to feel sorry for Ray and his inability to shut his mouth.  The comment about the loner kid was F’d up.  But in a normal situation, wouldn’t others be thinking along the same line??  At least he engaged the teenages; Laura didn’t even speak to them.

I am starting to wonder if the program isn’t rigged.  Quite honestly last week when the blond (in more ways than one) Chelsea got kicked off, I had to wonder, didn’t Joel deserve it more?  I think so, but I am also happy he is still around!  Despite his arrogance, I actually see some potential in him.   Maybe that is why he is still around.  I pick him or Julia to win the whole thing since my true favorite CJ is gone.  I was quite sad to see CJ go, I thought out of all of them and the various behavior that has been shown, he appeared to be the most genuine.  I was really pulling for him.

Anyway, I will continue to watch and try to figure out who will win.  And now that the Bachelor was on in True Beauty’s place last Monday, I am going to have to check out that show too.  There are some of the Bachelor shows that I have watched, and some that I just haven’t.  I haven’t been watching this one, but the next weeks highlights that were given out Monday night look like a huge twist in the program that even I am intrigued to watch.  Apparently the Bachelorette who rejected the current Bachelor comes back and tells him she made a mistake.  HolyCrap!

It is nice to escape the realiy in my universe right now with frivalous reality programs that give regular people 15 mminutes of fame.

I love Shayne and Matt together!

So, Izzy actually watched the bachelor this season.  Yeah, I know, but I really loved Matt’s accent and got hooked from the first episode on.   I only half assed watched since I had the TV on while I was surfing the net anyway, so it isn’t that bad!

Then again, by mid way through the season, I definately had gotten hooked.  I really didn’t have any favorites throughout, but I did like Shayne more than the others.  She seemed very cool and less small minded than some of the other ladies.  I really had started rooting for her by the hometown dates episode.

I thought they had great chemistry together and she seemed so laid back and cool about the whole deal.  A part of me wonders if it is real, but really so what if it isn’t.  It was entertaining and fun to watch and I am sure they both had fun throughout the season.  Even if they aren’t really in love, I still liked watching them together.

So, why do we want the fairy tale ending all the time?  I seriously can’t make myself believe in that crap anymore.  So, jaded is how I look at the fairy tales.  And I won’t feed them to my kids.  I would love to have them grow up minus the lies of all the bs we were told as kids.  You know…white picket fence, dog in the back, 2 kids, flowers, sunshine, and happiness abounds.  That is so bullshit I can’t even stand it.

That said, I still can’t resist the fairy tale endings and the happiness that appears to be happening when the story ends.  I don’t believe in it anymore, but I still love to see it.

My daughter got the movie Enchanted and we watched it.  It was great, but I made sure to tell her that while we love movies with happy endings, we shouldn’t expect it in real life.  Now, I certainly don’t advocate negativity, but I also don’t want her to grow up expecting a prince charming.  Come on now ladies, we all know that the prince is strictly for the movies and our imaginations.  Sucks, but we all know it’s true.

The reality varies for each of us, but I think we all can agree that whoever we get, he certainly isn’t a prince.  IF you have one, PLEASE let us all in on where the hell you found him!!!!!   :)

Anyway, I hope Matt and Shayne have a wonderful time together for however long they are together.  That’s it for now folks!  Remember now Different is the new black, and if you like what you read, buy me a Caramel Mach!!!!

Namaste!
